Priyanka Yoshikawa, who was a pageant neophyte when we first met her, joined the Qanamy Workshop training last March, which was held in Omiya.
Being new in the pageant world, especially in Japan, the witty half-Indian, half-Japanese already knew which pageant she wanted to join before enrolling in our workshop. Joining with her during that same workshop were Risa Nagashima, who went on to win Miss Supranational Japan 2016, and Emiri Shimizu, who is now competing in Ecuador for the Miss United Continents 2016.
Priyanka was very sure that she wanted to join Miss World Japan, believing that it was the pageant that was really meant for her. During the whole day workshop where all the participants learned how to walk, present themselves on stage, pose and answer Q&As, she also learned valuable tips from us, including some of the secrets on how to win the Miss World Japan pageant.
Six months later, the very confident and prepared Priyanka went on to win the Miss World Japan 2016 crown, beating 30 other finalists during the pageant held on September 5th.
